A transition Beast

I'm participating in Jude's Patchwork Beast class after taking her Spirit Cloth class.  So the background weaving was done at the end of the Spirit Cloth class and I put my rendition of my first beast on top of it.  It's not exactly what we were supposed to do, but I'm always subverting the directions to things somehow.  I actually followed the directions for my second beast, who's a beastly butterfly and I'll post pictures of her later... but for now, enjoy the progress on my Cat-Kin Beast.

 

Summer Fun

Here's a picture I took this morning while walking Sydney.  I'm so glad summer is finally here!  There are so many birds around (I love birds) and so many different bird-song going on.  And at night the frogs are still singing and it's wonderful to fall asleep to.  I thought I'd leave a quote for you to think about today.

I'm playing with indigo blue today! I'm going to carve out a little bit of time to hand-stitch on some hand-dyed indigo blue cloth that I got from Shibori Girl! I'll post pictures!

Hand Embroidered Poetry

Today is a lovely day.  It started out gray and gloomy this morning and turned out sunny and clear this afternoon!  So, when not studying this is what I've been working on.  It's a swap for someone and I hope she likes it.  It's going to be awfully hard to see it go!
